Impact

How should we measure impact?

Is it the data or the exclamation of a child who ‘gets it’?Is it the progress or the attainment? Is it the tiny, almost immeasurable steps a child makes in their confidence towards tackling a difficult concept? Is it a child speaking eloquently about their learning? Is it a disadvantaged child with a low starting point making expected or  more than expected progress? Is it the confidence you see in a member of staff when you have coached and mentored them to develop their practice?

It’s all of these things and more.

Write down your impact- don’t just focus on the data; write it all down and be proud. Be proud and then reflect: what is the next step for you for making an impact?

Today’s’ writing has been fuelled by toffee, apple and pecan muffins.
